Walter Legal, PLLC was established in 2016 to provide legal counsel and solutions for entrepreneurs, small business owners, inventors, and other creatives.
Our office has almost two decades of legal experience, caters to small business owners, and prides itself on advising business owners on pre-damage damage control and offering realistic and practical solutions to the unique issues facing small businesses. Firm experience includes transactions, formation and various aspects of intellectual property, prosecution and protection.

Kandace D. Walter, Esq., has almost two decades of relevant and valuable legal experience to satisfy the business and intellectual property needs of her clients. Ms. Walter is known for her candid demeanor. Prior to the creation of Walter Legal PLLC, Ms. Walter honed her unique skills and legal perspective at an intellectual property and business litigation boutique law firm, a medium-sized school law firm, the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office as well as the Dallas City Attorney’s Office. Ms. Walter’s extensive courtroom experience and technical background give her a distinctive perspective on the issues facing entrepreneurs, small business owners and inventors. Ms. Walter is competent and confident in the courtroom and works vigorously to protect her client’s interests.

Ms. Hillman has over ten years of paralegal experience and specializes in Intellectual Property. She attended University of North Texas before being hired at a small boutique firm in Dallas. There, she acquired experience in various areas of law including family law, estate planning, intellectual property litigation and civil litigation.
Ms. Hillman focuses on case organization while guiding our clients through the patent and trademark process. Her extensive Intellectual Property experience makes her a reliable and knowledgeable point of contact for our clients. Ms. Hillman also operates a small catering and meal prep business in her spare time, having spent the last few years catering to a wide range of clientele in the DFW area.
Kimberlee Walter

Kimberlee Walter is the Office and Marketing Manager at Walter Legal, where she keeps the day-to-day operations of the firm running smoothly while growing the Walter Legal brand through social media and other marketing strategies. She graduated from SMU with a Bachelor’s degree in Advertising and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology while also playing on the Women’s basketball team. She is dedicated to using her years of creative marketing experience to advance the reach of the firms’ services.
Having been an educator for over 17 years, Kimberlee finds it incredibly rewarding to use her interpersonal and communication skills to manage the daily operations of Walter Legal. A strong believer in streamlined processes, Kimberlee is passionate about implementing and maintaining procedures that add value to the firm. She is very active in the community and in 2023 ran for Mayor of Corsicana. When she’s not running for public office, she gives her time to volunteer projects both at home and abroad. Her biggest joy is travel and in 2021 she became the producer and host of The Kimmytravels Podcast.
